Our work has a direct impact on the quality of their lives and we take that responsibility very seriously. We also invest in communities through the charity Elevate that we set up to improve the lives of young people from inner-city areas.
Conscious of our high reputation within the communities we serve, our people are focused on community engagement for every facet of our operation. Housing contracts, public sector top-team recruitment or turnaround for a Direct Labour organisation, all rely on the cornerstone of our belief – that ordinary citizens and their communities are the reason for our existence.
That’s why we want to give something back. To this end, a proportion of our profits are channelled into sports, holidays and educational projects by means of our charity ‘Elevate’ ( www.elevateuk.co.uk ), through which we can access funds unavailable to private companies, public sector bodies and the communities themselves.
And our record is impressive, with independently verified reductions in crime and anti-social behaviour, young and old breaching the age divide through dialogue, and disadvantaged young people finding hope through education where, in the past, they have only found failure.
