Is giving 'hoodies' more care and attention the way to prevent anti social behaviour?I certainly think more care and attention needs to be given to young people to tackle the causes of anti-social behaviour over the long term. That said, we still need to strike a balance between nurturing young people's needs and also responding to the needs of the community as a whole. I think providing young people with access to worthwhile after school or holiday activities - like Elevate does - or giving them learning and training opportunities will be a good start to tackle this. It will also enable the community to get over their potential "fear" of young people. |
